Peter Pan will swap Neverland for Chorley’s Astley Park this weekend for an outdoor theatre event.
Heartbreak Productions will perform its innovative adaptation of classic Peter Pan And The Lost Boys on Sunday.
The park’s Walled Garden will become a magical skate park and the audience will be whisked back to their childhood as they join the Lost Boys on one of their many adventures.
It is the second outdoor theatre event of the summer organised by Chorley Council, following the popular performance of Macbeth earlier this month.
Coun Alistair Bradley, council leader, said: “People are really enjoying our Theatre In The Park events so we decided to put two on this year.
“The performance of Macbeth was aimed at adults and now we have Peter Pan And The Lost Boys, which all of the family can enjoy.
“Whether you’re five or 95, this energetic and enthralling adaptation of Peter Pan guarantees audiences an enchanting experience full of magic, laughter and excitement.
“We’ve already taken lots of bookings for this performance but there are still a few tickets left, so if you want to enjoy entertaining theatre in the beautiful surroundings of Astley Park make sure you get your tickets now.”
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £7 for children aged five to 16, or £30 for a family ticket for two adults and two children.
They are available online at www.chorley.gov.uk, or from the council offices on Union Street, Unify Credit Union on Market Street, and Café Ambio and Astley Hall at Astley Park.
Peter Pan And The Lost Boys is on August 30 and starts at 5pm.
