Tomorrow night, one of the biggest figures in British politics in the past few decades will be spilling the beans on her political life, at Lytham’s Lowther Pavilion.

An Evening with Edwina Currie starts at 7.30pm at the venue, with some tickets still left at £16.50.

Edwina Currie has a brass neck, a silver tongue and a golden pen

Politically Incorrect: Edwina’s Tales from the Jungle (and elsewhere!) is an unforgettable evening with the former minister who revealed in her diaries a four-year affair with former Prime Minister John Major.

Her one-woman tour is an entertaining journey from BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing floor to the power struggles of Westminster and No 10 – and who can forget her explosive time on reality TV shows Hell’s Kitchen and I’m A Celebrity get Me Out Of Here.

Edwina was elected an MP in 1983, and was memorably a Junior Health Minister for two years, before resigning in 1988 during the salmonella in eggs controversy, when she announced that most of the eggs in Britain were infected with the disease, a move which infuriated farmers across the country.

MP Sir Julian Critchley said of Edwina: “Edwina Currie has a brass neck, a silver tongue and a golden pen,” so an entertaining evening is ensured.
