A hit on Broadway, in the West End and most recently in a critically-acclaimed 2014 UK Tour, award-winning comedy musical Avenue Q has arrived in Preston – bringing a host of fuzzy friends to the Preston’s College theatre stage.
The Tony Award-winning show features the naughtiest puppets in town, brought hilariously to life by an ensemble cast of 11 performers, and is about growing up, dreaming big, and finding a purpose in life.
Preston’s College Secret Theatre is hosting the show at its St Vincent’s Road campus and the human cast is hard at work with in rehearsals getting to grips with the puppet characters.
Featuring hysterically funny songs and lots of fun, Avenue Q is hailed as an hilarious musical with a warm heart. Among the stars of the show are Princeton, a bright-eyed graduate who goes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account.
Soon discovering that the only neighbourhood in his price range is Avenue Q, he finds himself moving in with some quirky characters – including Brian the out-of-work comedian and his therapist fiancée Christmas Eve and very cute kindergarten teacher named Kate Monster.
The show runs from Wednesday, February 25, to Friday, February 27.
Tickets are £10 and are available by calling 01772 225008.
