Have your say

The Thornley Birds’ annual panto ‘Cinderella, has already packed Longridge Civic Hall and is now en route to Preston.

As well as the strong cast of friends and regulars the theatre group is led by 85-year-old Margaret Blackburn, assisted by her sisters Mary Holmes and Vera Dewhurst, her daughter Elizabeth Morris, her granddaughter Rebecca and her niece Claire Villers.

Margaret said: “Lots of people came up to us to say how good it was,” she said.

The group hopes for the same level of support when it takes the show to St Martin’s Hall in Fulwood on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1.

Incredibly, The Thornley Birds are already making plans for next year’s pantomime, which is to be ‘Dick Whittington’.

Tickets for the Fulwood performances are £6 for adults, £4 children.

They are available from Margaret on 01772 774394 or Mary Holmes on 01772 733948.
