Ho ho ho...it’s that time of year again when Broughton & District Tennis Club serve up a cracker of a tournament. This year they are playing in memory of Jim Sheldon. All are welcome from 1pm, non- members and anyone who wants to come along and hit a ball for Jim. There is a £3 entry fee for adults and intermediates. St Anne’s Antique Fair, The Aztex Centre, St Annes, Boxing Day

Hunt out some Boxing Day bargains next week as the St Anne’s Antique Fair returns. From 8.30am there will be a wide range of stalls including jewellery, silver, postcards, lace, medals, Moorcroft and antiquarian books, plus a book and CD stall in aid of Derian House Childrens Hospice.
