Singer-songwriter Charlotte Lily, from Penwortham, is a finalist in next month’s Miss Lancashire final at Preston Playhouse on Sunday, January 20.
The 21-year-old took the decision after writing a bucket list of things she wanted to do after competing in the Six Chair Challenge on this year’s X Factor.

"The venues in this county shaped who I am as a performer.”
As part of her campaign, Charlotte is raising funds for Variety, The Children’s Charity North West, who help to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people.
It’s seen her perform throughout Preston including at the Christmas lights switch-on and the Disability Equality Festival at Preston Minster.
She said: “My goal was £500 and so far I’ve raised £600.
“If I was to win Miss Lancashire I want to inspire other young girls who have dreams which seem hard to reach to never give up as anything is possible.

"Hopefully it could open another door in my music, and I would get to support my local community and charities at the same time."
