Land of the Giants, South West Music Awards’ Band of the Year 2013, play Preston tonight at the Mad Ferret.
And, despite being based in Plymouth, the concert is something of a home-coming for two members of the six-piece band.
Gareth LePage said: “We are particularly looking forward to this as Sam Copp (lead guitar) comes from Preston and Andy Quick (lead vocals) come from Blackpool – so bit of a homecoming for them.
“We’re currently on a 17-date debut UK tour dubbed Pleased to Meet You Pt 1. We’re venturing as far as Glasgow in our trusty rust bucket van called Cheryl.
They are supported by local act Bad Cardigans (a two-piece acoustic indie) and Jess Harwood (singer-songwriter).
It’s free entry and doors open at 8pm.
