Young singers are being offered the chance to join a prestigious choir.

The North West Children’s Honour Choir has vacancies for boys and girls aged nine to 13.

The choir, which was formed in 2007, is conducted and trained by renowned composer Bob Chilcott, who works with children’s and young people’s choirs around the world. His piece The Angry Planet, including schools choirs, was performed at this year’s BBC Proms.

The youngsters will perform alongside Preston Cecilians at a concert at Fulwood Methodist Church in June, following rehearsals at Longsands Primary School. For details, see www.abcd.org.uk or call choir administrator Mavis Fletcher on 01772 655939.
