Vocal ensemble I Fagiolini bring an evening of renaissance music to Live at LICA’s Great Hall at Lancaster University next Thursday.

Founded in 1986 at Oxford University I Fagiolini won the UK Early Music Network’s Young Artists’ Competition just two years later.

They have since released 15 CDs and two DVDs, and play around 50 concerts a year – from the BBC Proms and major European festivals to further afield venues in the USA, Far East and Africa.

Performances are historically informed but at the same time aim to bring the spirit of the music to life for today’s audience.

In the composer Gesualdo’s 400th anniversary year, this concert presents his powerful madrigals among other pieces from avant-gardists of the time, offering an extraordinary evening of music.

Tickets £23-£21.50 / £20-£18.50 concessions £9 £7.50 young person & NUS.
