Preston singer Letitia Gray has been crowned the winner of Manchester’s The Printworks Unsigned 2015 contest.
Letitia, 20, is no stranger to the stage, as she appeared on The Voice in 2013, battling it out on Team Jessie to appear on the live shows.
The young musician stole the show at The Printworks with her own original track, Black Jewel, winning £400 and an exclusive EP recording session.
Letitia is currently studying on an Access To Music course in Manchester.
Originally from Ribbleton, she attended Fulwood Academy.
She blew the judges away with her own arrangement of an impressive acapella backing-track to accompany a phenomenal vocal.
There were so many talented people in the competition so I’m really pleased to have won
The judging panel consisted of Jack Barton (Hard Rock Cafe Manchester), Dan Clifford (Manchester Rocks) and Phil Ireland (bass guitarist, Breaking Waves), as well as celebrity guest judge Archie Kelly who played Kenny “Dalglish” Senior from Phoenix Nights.
Archie treated the crowds to a lively rendition of Lionel Richie’s ‘All Night Long’.
Letitia said: “I didn’t expect to win, I was just pleased to have a chance to be performing my own songs.
“There were so many talented people in the competition so I’m really pleased to have won.
“I’m definitely going to pursue music because I feel like I’m just at the development stage right now.”
Archie Kelly said: “It’s such a shame there could only be one winner as they were all winners. Letitia is a fantastic vocalist and certainly a worthy winner.”
In second place was 10-year-old Talia Daly from Moston, Manchester.
