Pop superstar Harry Styles has told the nation how much he enjoyed a night out in Preston.
The One Direction star spoke at the BBC Music Awards on Thursday about his night out at the former Mad Ferret pub, where he went to watch singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s now legendary gig.
He said the show, in front of just a few hundred fans at the Fylde Road pub in July 2011, was the first time he saw Ed play - though he got the name of the pub wrong.
Harry said: “It was in a pub in Preston, I think it was called the Stinking Ferret? Ed was amazing, he gave me goosebumps.”
The Ferret snapped up Ed to play just before his debut hit, The A Team, made the Top Five. He famously went to a fan’s house for a cup of tea and shower before the gig.
