Choir sings to celebrate centenary

Lancaster-born maestro Justin Doyle will bring together the finest voices in the North West with the Manchester Chamber Choir this weekend.

Presenting a selection of choral music by Britten and his contemporaries to celebrate the centenary of his birth at Lancaster Universtiy’s Great Hall on March 2.

Manchester Chamber Choir regularly appears on BBC Radio 4’s Daily Service and Sunday Worship and have appeared on Radio 2’s Sunday Half Hour, Radio 5 Live’s Tony Livesey Show and BBC Television’s Songs of Praise.

The choir was created by singers for singers and share a genuine desire to perform choral music to the highest standard.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm with a pre-concert talk at 6.45pm
