To celebrate the launch of an exhibitions of comics at the Harris Museum, Preston City Council is holding a comics activity day.
People are invited to dress up as their favourite comic book characters, watch the pararde, meet local comic authors, draw on the art boards and take part in activities and competitions.
The exhibition at the Harris runs until September 23 and celebrates the work of Preston artist Leo Baxendale, most famous for his creation of Minnie the Minx and
the Bash Street Kids for the Beano.
Cabinet member for culture and leisure, Councillor Peter Kelly, said: “This is set to be a fabulous event to complement the opening of the comic exhibition in the Harris.”
Saturday’s event takes place on the Flag Market from 12 noon to 4pm.
