Tickets for the shows are set to go on-sale at 10am on this Sunday (19 November) through Ticketmaster.

The 'Have Gags, Will Travel' tour will hit the north west in the summer of 2018, with two nights at the Manchester Arena, and then again during spring 2019 at the Echo Arena when the tour will finish.

Along the way, the tour calls at cities like Glasgow, Sheffield, and Leeds, and includes four nights at the O2 Arena in London.

A statement released by the comedian, responsible for TV hits like Phoenix Nights and Car Share, said he will be returning to his "most successful hobby - stand-up".

"A lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can’t wait to get back up on stage," he said.
