Top dogs get a chance to shine

Everyone thinks their dog is the best one in the world and this weekend offers a chance to prove it.

Animal Care Lancaster is holding its annual dog show, which will be looking out for the top dogs in 20 different categories.

So even if your four-legged friend is no oil painting it might qualify as the most obedient, the one with the waggiest tail or the saddest eyes, ... or even the one most like its owner.

The event will be held in Williamson park on Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

Entry is £1 per class per dog and you can register on the day between 10am and 11am. There will also be a sponsored walk of approximately 1.5 miles around the park, with all proceeds going towards the Animal Care Lancaster 
charity, an animal rescue and rehoming charity.
