Chicago Blues Brothers

Internationally renowned Chicago Blues Brothers (a tribute to the legendary Blues Brothers, Jake and Elwood) started the night off with a mission – to bring the small, but dedicated audience a night full of energy, classic songs and party atmosphere.

Audience participation, not least the spectacle of those who had dressed as the legendary pair, added to the celebration of over 30 years of the Blues Brothers phenomenon.

The years were rolled back through a huge repertoire of over 40 classic numbers, from Fab Calloway , Booker T and the MG’s to Spencer Davies, along with Ray Charles, James Brown, The Temptations and Sam and Dave. The female backing singers treated the audience to Aretha Franklin (R.E.S.P.E.C.T.) and Fontella Bass (Rescue Me).

The excellent seven-piece band gave the whole performance energy and polish, whilst the rest of the evening was interspersed with humour from the Yorkshire duo.

And a night such as this can’t go without the audience getting up to boogie to ‘Shake a Tail Feather’.

Every Tuesday throughout August.
