You don’t even have to pack a picnic or a brolly to enjoy this festival.

The stately theatre’s twist on a music festival offers something for everyone whether you enjoy rock, pop, 70s, blues, ballads.

It starts with a tribute to Abba from Dancing Queen (July 25, August 1, 8, 15. 22 and 27) in full costume and plenty of glitz.

Let’s Hang On, covers the career of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (August 13, 20 29 and September 5).

The award-winning production Chicago Blues Brothers perform on August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, widely acknowledged as the leading tribute to the legendary Blues Brothers.

There’s a whirlwind trip from the 50s onwards in Forever in Blue Jeans (July 28. August 18, September 1) as a cast of seven deliver classic songs from Brenda Lee, The Carpenters, Motown and Carole King.

Solid Gold 70s (August 4, 11, 25) features glam rock greats, disco hits, power ballads and party anthems made famous by Queen, Sweet, 10cc, David Soul, Andrew Gold, David Cassidy, John Miles, Suzi Quatro, Boney M, Buggles, Elton John, Bay City Rollers, David Essex, The Osmonds, ELO and more.

T.Rextasy (July 29. August 26) are recognised as the world’s number one group dedicated to the greatest glam rocker of them all, Marc Bolan of T.Rex.

They have toured worldwide playing such incredible venues as the Ariake Coliseum in Japan and Wembley Arena in London and performed alongisde English glam rock greats Wizzard, Cockney Rebel, Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople), and Slade.

A brand new production, Think Floyd (July 21, Aug 12) features The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here – arguably two the most influential albums of all time.

Celebrating its 10th year with more chart toppers than ever before, The Magic of Motown (August 28) features the music of the Four Tops, Supremes, Temptations, Jackson 5, Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and many more.

And it’s Yesterday Once More thanks to ‘Karen Carpenter’ – Voice of the Heart (July 27, August 17 and 31) 30 years on since the death of Karen Carpenter, her catalogue of hit songs as memorable as ever.

In celebration of one of the most successful boy bands of all time, The Grand presents The Take That Experience Show - Relight The Fire (August 14 and 21) delivering favourites new and old including Back For Good, Could It Be Magic, Patience, Shine, Rule The World, Greatest Day and The Flood.

The six-week festival extravaganza includes the real thing too, a one off performance by The Drifters (July 24) with hits such as Under The Boardwalk, Saturday Night At The Movies, Up On The Roof, Kissin In The Back Row, Down on the Beach and More Than A Number In My Little Red Book.

Andrew Howard, marketing manager at the Grand, explains: “We’ve aimed to create the festival for a couple of years now and we are incredibly excited to deliver such a range of music over six weeks of the summer. We sought to offer an eclectic mix of soul and blues, rock and pop, and ballads that appeal to our loyal local audience in addition to the high volumes of visitors during the Blackpool summer season.”
