The event which usually takes place at venues across South Ribble has had a virtual makeover, becoming 'Living Room Live', which will bring live music to the comfort of your own home on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16.

Taking place across the weekend on www.facebook.com/groups/livingroomlive, unique performances by local favourites will bring music from across the decades and much needed entertainment.

Nigel Stewart from Creative Network, one of the creators of the event said, “When we started this off nearly ten years ago, it was all about people – our people, our community, our values; that remains the case now.

“In the midst of this situation, we want to bring people together to celebrate what we share in South Ribble through the power of live music.”

Councillor Aniela Bylinski Gelder, South Ribble Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, Social Justice and Wealth Building said, “I’m so pleased that we’ve been able to give a much-loved South Ribble event a virtual makeover!

“It is of course disappointing that we cannot enjoy this event face-to-face across all of the well-loved venues across Penwortham, but we need to respect the government guidelines and do all we can to stay safe.”
