The lad hailed Lancashire's laureate bags Ferret
Lancashire's fast rising indie poet Jordan Allen is back with a new look, new book and new song ... having made a tub thumping appearance at Manchester's Dot to Dot festival in Manchester.
Bolton’s own bard, hailed the Lancashire laureate by fans, turned to Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Wiltshire to pen over 20 new arrangements for Too Much Too Soon, produced by Steve Osborne (New Order, U2, Doves, KT Tunstall).
At 21 Jordan’s out to redefine the age old dilemma. “Too Much Too Soon is about reflecting on the naivety of how easy it is to fall head over heels when you’re young. Being completely unaware of how young I was and how none of it really mattered I did some ridiculous stuff, sent flowers, wrote poems, wrote songs and none of it worked. If I’d played it cool, things might have been different.”
The Jordan Allen four piece are also out to win hearts, closer to home, at Preston’s The Ferret on Saturday. After a premiere of the new single on radio and queues out the door and along the street at the Manchester festival the band are pumped up and out to impress on the North West circuit. With more gigs to follow local fans are hoping for an anthemic outing to the Fylde coast soon.
