The weekend, on a site at Woodacre Estate, features a great line up of arena shows, headlined by the Big Pete Monster Truck Team.

With trucks like The Grim Reaper and, of course, Big Pete himself, this is an action packed spectacle of car crushing carnage - and a supercharged tug-of-war, renowned as the best Monster Truck show in the UK.

The North West Lawnmower Racing Association stage a packed programme of races throughout the weekend - and spectators will be able to get close up to the action.

And, for those who don’t love their engines, there will be birds of prey display, trampolines, a packed crafts tent, a food hall stuffed with local produce, fairground rides, a soft play area for the little ones - and, on Saturday night, a great festival of live music for the grown ups.

Scorton Steam started in 2005 when site proprietor, steam enthusiast Paul Whittingham, decided he wanted to run his own rally. At first named Scorton Vintage and Country Fayre, it officially became Scorton Steam last year.

With eight catagories of vehicles on display, just eight years after its founding, the event is now a fixture in the steam enthusiasts calendar.

Entry is £9 for adults, £6 for under 16s and OAPs and under 10s go free.
