The centre in Samlesbury is hosting one of its popular vintage events and it promises to be a great day – or two – out for all the family.

As well as bringing together more than 70 creative individuals and businesses from throughout the North West, the event offers stimulating entertainment and great food.

Laura Johnson who is the owner of Crafty Vintage, which delivers the events at various venues, said: “Our last one was on one of the rainiest weekends of the year and we welcomed more than 1,000 people on each day.”

Crafty Vintage does not just offer vintage clothing and crafts, however.

While these are a big draw for vintage addicts, there is also plenty on offer to occupy younger visitors.

There will be performances by the singer, CoCo, from Great Harwood, who has appeared at The Lowry in Manchester, and Dr Diablo will keep the children mesmerised with his magic tricks.

Both can be found in the Crafty Vintage cabaret marquee.

Also on hand will be staff from Lofty’s Cocktail Bar in Preston, who will be whisking up taste-tempting cocktails and, for those who are driving, or underage, mocktails.

The artisan food court will provide somewhere to take a break and buy something special for the weekend and there will also be a range of beautiful and quirky hand-made crafts for sale.

Laura said: “We’ll be bringing along our vintage VW camper van, Babs, and people are welcome to have a look inside her and also have their pictures taken.

“We’ll have Nathan D’Amour with us who is a highly regarded fashion photographer who has produced work for Vogue magazine.”

The Crafty Vintage weekend will run from 11am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday and entrance is just £1.
