Elite A and Elite C are the familiar sight at the top of the Preston and District Snooker League.

The A team came away with five points from Brownedge Blue.

Rob Dodd slugged it out against Jason Bradley in the opening frame of the night and came away with a point for the Banber Bridge side.

Youngster Jake Robinson pulled off an impressive victory of his own, thrashing Johnny Wignall of Elite 80-44, including breaks of 33 and 27 along the way.

Elite C kept pace, hammering their B team counterparts 7-0.

Former pro Steve Rowlings has started the season in great form, this week compiling a break of 40 in his win over Michael Bamber.

Brownedge Red had started the season in their new division brightly but this came to a grinding halt as Greenlands A romped to a 7-0 scoreline on the night.

St George’s are already five points clear at the top of Division Two.

Lee Bridge was the standout player as George’s overwhelmed Walton-le-Dale Cons. Gary Dewhurst scored the consolation point in a 6-1 defeat for Cons.

Eccleston B prop up the division despite only narrowly losing 4-3 to Greenlands B. Mark Jeffers and Matt Caunce fought their way to an important aggregate point for Eccleston despite being the only winners.

Division Three saw New Meadow Street climb the league rankings this week as they thumped Fox Lane 7-0.

Fox Lane paid a hefty price for turning up late, conceding the first frame of the evening, from which they never recovered.

Empire Services hold the only unbeaten record in the division after their win against Whittingham B.

The division looks like it may be strongly contested as six other teams have won three out of four games.

New boys Elite E are joint top of the forth division. Desmond Wood recorded the consolation point for New Meadow Street B in a 6-1 defeat to the Lostock side.

St Anthony’s A continue to impress at the top as well, Neil Swinson was the main man on the night, thrashing Leigh Myers 90-22 in his frame.
