The 65-mile long route initially heads out towards Mellor and then Whalley, taking in some of the beautiful Ribble Valley lanes and hills.

It also takes in Dunsop Bridge and Abbeystead before returning to Avenham Park.

The short 37-mile route will follow the same course as the long route until it forks off at Wilpshire via Longridge and over to Inglewhite.

Said a spokesman: “The route is undulating, the roads are quiet and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. There will be bacon butties and a brew waiting for you at the finish.”

The park itself will also host family activities. To enter, email [email protected] or call 01257 251217.
