Preston Grasshoppers travel to Ilkley for the clubs’ first-ever league meeting – and more than 50 years since they last played each other, writes PAUL OUTHWAITE.
With successive away games – Hoppers are at Harrogate next weekend – head coach Paul Arnold is looking for a strong fan presence once again.
“The away support this season has been fantastic,” he said. “There’s a good buzz about the place and our team spirit is good.”
But, as leaders of the North Premier League, he added: “We are there to be shot at. We can’t take our foot off the gas.”
After stepping down last week to give a couple of young Hoppers forwards starting experience, hooker Paul Millea and flanker Sam Gale are back tomorrow. Ally Murray, making his 150th first-team appearance, switches to lock.
There is a top-two clash in North One West at Powderhouse Lane where second-placed Stockport visit leaders Vale of Lune.
Vale have Fergus Owens, Jordan Dorrington and Ross Pillow unavailable. Ben Dorrington moves to centre, Harry Finan comes in at fly-half, Ollie Cowey props and Dan Raimfdord and Harry Fellows form the second row.
Fylde travel to Old Albanians in National League One.
