Premier League Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to splash £10 miliiion during the January transfer window and West Brom winger Oli Burke is said to be on their shopping list.

Burke, who joined the Baggies from RB Leipzig for £15million in 2017, has played just three times for the first team this season.

Meanwhile Aston Villa’s new sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has played down links to football super agent Jorge Mendes.

Mendes, who has strong influence at fellow West Midland club Wolverhampton Wanderers, was understood to be advising Villa’s new owners after their takeover in the summer.

The Portuguese agent has a number of high profile clients and previously dealt with Pitarch at Valencia.

Birmingham City fans have laughed off suggestions that Sheffield United are interested in signing star man Jota, saying that the Yorkshire club couldn’t afford to sign the attacker.
