Preston and District Pool League held their Guild year presentation evening at the Blessed Sacrament Club.

In 1992, the league ran a special Guild Individuals’ Competition and it was repeated in 2012.

And the Preston Guild champion Neil Morris (of Cattlemarket) was crowned by the 1992 champion Paul Foley .

Tom Broad, the league chairman,personally donated the 2012 trophy.

One of the biggest cheers of the night went to the Guild Scotch Cup Champions 55th Club B from Division Three, who won the title and £800.

They fully deserved their title and beat a number of top teams from higher divisions along the way.

The league’s Summer Season charity collection, saw them shatter predictions for raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice. They raised £905 to bring the season total to more than £1,600. Cattlemarket A, Ingol LC C, Danny Roccia and Gary Harwood all donated their prize winnings.

League sponsors Kingsland Wines, Hendrys Snooker Club, BEST Electrical, Cattlemarket, Superpet Warehouse, Penwortham Glass, Ingol Labour Club all made the evening possible.
