Preston pool ace Nish Barot has qualified for the World 8-Ball Championships for a second successive year.
The 23-year-old will join the elite players in the world game from more than 20 nations at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool next month.
His qualification comes after countless hours’ practice at Hendry’s in Brook Street, while also playing for Mill Tavern in the Preston and District Pool League.
He also recently reached the last-32 in the Golden Cue Team Championships in Yarmouth while playing for Southport.
Nish said: “I’m really pleased to make the world finals two years in a row.
“It makes all the hard work I put in worthwhile, and is also a reward for the support I have received from Chris Bullen and Andy Johnson.
“However, I could always do with some more financial backing, and if anyone would like to sponsor me, they can email me on email@example.com.”
In last year’s Championships, Nish was representing India and beat Steve Martin (England) 7-5 in the first round and Australian Terry Bond 7-3 in the second round before falling to Phil Naylor (England) 7-5 in the last-128 stage.
This year’s event runs from June 22 to July 2 and boasts a £45,000 prize fund.
