Goalkeeper Jamie Jones has left Preston North End and joined Stevenage in a permanent deal.
Jones last played in a competitive game for North End in November 2014 and has since had three loan spells away from Deepdale.
He signed for PNE on a Bosman in June 2014 after leaving Leyton Orient and started the 2014/15 campaign as first-choice keeper, playing 20 games.
But he fell out of favour with Preston boss Simon Grayson and had loans at Coventry and Rochdale last season.
The 26-year-old spent three months with Colchester earlier this term, making 18 appearances, and now teams-up with League Two outfit Stevenage who are managed by former England international Teddy Sheringham.
