Last January West Ham swooped on Preston North End, paying £9.5m for striker Jordan Hugill.

And this winter eyes may be falling upon the Lilywhites’ free-scoring frontman Callum Robinson.

Indeed, several Championship players who have caught the eye this season are being tipped to be snapped up by Premier League clubs this winter.
