Dave was well known to many people connected with the League, a larger-than-life character who
was a much liked and highly respected member of the Ingol community.

He played for many years for Falkland Heroes and Ingol Rangers, and he had close ties with Tanterton FC.

The only game played at the weekend in the Open Age section of the League was the Division Three clash between Arkwrights and Walton, which was preceded by a minute’s silence in Dave’s memory by the teams, referee Chris Seed and both sets of supporters.

This was a real top-of-the-table clash, played on the 3G pitch at Corpus Christi College, which Walton won 2-1 to close the gap to two points against their closest rivals.
