“Marcus has opted to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere once football gets back underway and is looking to spend more time with his young family.
"He’lll no doubt be remembered positively by the fans at Victory Park for his performances over the last four seasons. We’d like to wish Marcus all the best for the future." said boss Jamie Vermiglio.
Carver added: "I feel the time has come to venture elsewhere and have more time with my new family.
"I have created some fantastic memories with Chorley that will stay with me for a lifetime."
With the cancellation of the season’s remaining fixtures Scott Duxbury, Martin Smith and Connor Hall have also departed, returning to their respective parent clubs. We’d like to thank all three players for their efforts while at Victory Park.
