The midfielder made only seven Championship starts following last summer’s move from Fulham.

It is understood that two League One clubs have shown an interest.

More interest could well follow for a player who was regarded as a key signing by PNE less 12 months ago.

They snapped him up from Fulham, Pringle’s time with the Craven Cottage outfit not having gone to plan.

The 27-year-old started the first four games of the season before being left on the bench for the 2-0 win at QPR.

His one start in September came at Bournemouth.

Pringle got a five-game run of starts in October and early November. He had an asthma attack in November and has only made two appearances as a substitute since.

He was not on the bench at all between February and mid-April.

Others have got ahead of him in Simon Grayson’s plans and finding a slot for him in the team has been difficult.

On the wings, Aiden McGeady, Tom Barkhuizen, Callum Robinson and Daryl Horgan have been used.

Centrally, Ben Pearson, Paul Gallagher, Alan Browne and Daniel Johnson have in the main got the nod.

Pringle has two years left on his contract at Deepdale.

Meanwhile, North End have introduced new price bandings aimed at attracting more younger supporters.

There will be free season tickets for Under-11s, the club having previously offered them to Under-8s.

There are concessions for 11 to 18-year-olds, a young adult rate for 19 to 21-years-olds and one aimed at 22 to 24-year-olds in full-time education or who have an apprenticeship.

Under-11s who do not get a season ticket can buy a matchday ticket for £2 in the three stands or for just £1 in the Sir Tom Finney Stand family area.

Adult season tickets are £475 in the Invincibles and Sir Tom Finney (£535 premium), and £400 in the Town End.

Seniors (65 and over) are £300 in the Invincibles and Sir Tom Finney (£380 premium), and £280 in the Town End.

Fans in the ambassador scheme get a discount if they buy before July 1 – adults £450 in the Finney and Invincibles, and £380 behind the goal.

There will be no charge for the use of credit or debit cards when buying season tickets.

Matchday tickets for adults remain at £27 in the Sir Tom Finney and Invincibles (£30 premium) and £24 in the Town End. Season tickets go on sale on Tuesday, May 30. Under-11s and disabled tickets can be brought in person or over the phone, not online.
