He is the son of Graham Salisbury who is an experienced EFL referee.

There is a strong Lancashire flavour in tonight's team of officials.

Freckleton's Leigh Doughty is the fourth official, Doughty having joined the EFL list as a referee this season.

Natalie Aspinall, who hails from Blackpool and used to be a tutor at Preston College, will be the reserve assistant referee.

In line with EFL safety protocol, all the officials have to travel separately to Wembley in their own transport.
