Krasner was speaking at a press conference at the DW Stadium on Thursday morning to give an update on the current state of the Latics, which was placed into administration last month.

Despite the administrator refusing to name the buyers of Euxton, North End are widely expected to be confirmed as the new owners by the beginning of next month having paid a purchase price believed to be £1.6m.

Krasner said: "We have sold the Euxton training ground. Why? With respect, a League One club does not need two training grounds.

"At the beginning, all the parties wanted to buy the training grounds as well as the DW Stadium. Pretty much all the parties intended to move Euxton on at a profit.

"When the Euxton money comes in early September, it gives us breathing space moving forwards.

"We complete on the training ground in September. That will allow the September wages to be paid."
