The Hornets have high expectations this season, those around Vicarage Road hoping for a return to the top flight.

Earlier on in the season Watford got the better of PNE in a 4-1 win but since then there has been change at the club with the sacking of Vladimir Ivic. In true Watford style, they acted swiftly to remove and replace their boss, with Xisco Munoz taking over in December.

Ismaila Sarr was linked with a big-money summer move and he found the net against PNE in the reverse fixture.

Joao Pedro is also tipped for big things at Vicarage Road, backed up by seasoned Premier League midfielders like Tom Cleverley and Will Hughes.

Like the North End of last season, Watford have proved to be effective from penalties.

They lead the way in penalty goals, scoring all eight that they have been awarded this season, with captain Troy Deeney a specialist from 12 yards.
