Lilywhites manager Alex Neil sent the majority of his first-team squad to Wesham for the clash, with the players then heading to Ireland on Sunday for a six-day training camp.

Included in the PNE starting XI as summer signing Graham Burke, while there was a start for Daryl Horgan.

Louis Moult led the attack, with support from Callum Robinson, Burke and Horgan.

AFC Fylde included former PNE midfielder Ryan Crosdale - signed for £50,000 from Kidderminster in the summer - in their starting XI.

There was also a debut for ex-Blackpool player Danny Philliskirk who joined them on a Bosman on Friday.

Two trialists started for the Coasters, with five more on the bench.
