Andrew Hughes replaced Joe Rafferty at left-back, the Welshman having pulled out of the Reading game late on with a shoulder injury.

Greg Cunningham, signed on loan from Cardiff this week, was included on the bench having had just one training session with his new team-mates.

There was a place among the substitutes for Billy Bodin, the winger having been sidelined after a knee operation.
