Preston North End youth-team pair join Clitheroe on loan

Preston North End youth-team players Tyrhys Dolan and Lincoln McFayden have joined Clitheroe on work experience loans.

The pair are going to Shawbridge on work experience deals which will allow them to still play for PNE's youth team if required.

Attacking midfielder Dolan and Chorley-born defender McFayden both featured in the Under-18s recent run to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup where they were beaten by Blackburn Rovers.

Dolan, formerly on the books of Manchester City and Burnley, also played in PNE's Lancashire FA Senior Cup clash with Rovers last month.

McFayden and Dolan are both aged 18 and are nearing the end of their second year as scholars.

They will join Jack Baxter at Clitheroe, the North End midfielder having joined the NPL First Division side in January on loan until the end of the season.

PNE now have 12 players out on loan or on work experience.

Goalkeeper Michael Crowe joined Bamber Bridge on Friday.

Graham Burke and Kevin O'Connor are playing their football in the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers and Waterford respectively, Josh Ginnelly is with Bristol Rovers until the end of the season and Josh Earl at Ipswich.

Connor Simpson is spending the season at Acrrington Stanley, Jack Armer is in his second loan spell at Lancaster City, while Adam O'Reilly and Ethan Walker are both with Stalybridge Celtic.
