To date there have been five incomings - Greg Cunningham the latest - three outgoings, Ben Pearson's impending move to AFC Bournemouth and the Ben Davies saga with Celtic.

There will be more business before Monday's cut-off, how much probably depending on the situation with Davies.

Pearson's move to Bournemouth should be completed before the weekend, North End having agreed a fee with the Cherries and allowed him to travel to the south coast for talks.

The fee is undisclosed and won't be anywhere near the numbers once bandied about when it came to his valuation.

What North End have had to take into account though, is that after 11pm on Monday he would be worth nothing had he stayed at Deepdale.

Although it is has been reported that Davies has signed a pre-contract with Celtic, it is thought there is still work to do on that one. He's had an offer from them and is having talks.

PNE aren't involved in those discussions, it being between the player and the Parkhead outfit to come to an agreement.

Davies is entitled to talk to clubs outside of England under international transfer rules now that he is in the last six months of his contract.

If he signs the pre-contract agreement which would come into effect from July 1, the 25-year-old would see out the season with North End.

What could change that is Celtic trying to buy him now, although leaving it until the summer would save them paying a fee.

Waiting for the final word from Davies does mean North End's plans for the last few days of the window have yet to be finalised.

Were Celtic to try and take him now, they would be in the market for a centre-half as well as trying to strengthen further forward.

If he stays around for the rest of the season, the focus would be further up the pitch.

They've been linked with loan moves for Liverpool's 19-year-old Dutch defender Sepp van der Berg and Everton winger Anthony Gordon, also 19.

An issue for North End is that they already have four players on loan - Cunningham, Jayson Molumby, Daniel Iversen and Ched Evans - and there is a limit of five allowed in a match day squad.

According to PNE sources, van der Berg and Gordon are among a number of young players being offered for loan at the moment.

Gordon caught the eye for the Toffees playing in the pre-season friendly against the Lilywhites at Goodison Park in Septermber.

With just one more loan available, it would mean them having to look at targets who they can take permanently.

In terms of outgoings, Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for Darnell Fisher.

That one looks to be happening, Fisher now in the last few months of his contract and has not been offered fresh terms.

Boro would be an attractive move for Fisher with it allowing him to stay in the Championship.

He's been North End's regular at choice right-back since his arrival from Rotherham in July 2017 so fans have expressed surprise that he hasn't been offered a new deal.

For the last two games, Alan Browne has played at right-back with Fisher an unused substitute.
