Preston North End star duo tipped to join divisional rivals, Stoke City could miss out on Europa League winger

Preston North End are gearing up for their latest second-tier clash this weekend, when they travel to take on managerless Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls have enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence since Tony Pulis' dramatic premature exit at the end of last year, winning their last two league games on the trot before a COVID-19-enforced postponement of their league fixtures, and will be looking to push out of the relegation zone in the coming weeks.Ahead of the game, Lilywhites boss Alex Neil paid tribute to new signing Daniel Iversen, and told the LEP: "He is not an experienced keeper who is going to come in and instantly command, but he's vocal in his own way and knows what he wants from the defenders in front of him."Daniel knows where he is as a keeper and knows where his strengths are. He's fitted in extremely well here, as have the other new lads."So far this January, the Lilywhites have been busy in the transfer market, bringing in striker Ched Evans, and midfield duo Ben Whiteman and Jayson Molumby alongside Iversen. Here's our round-up of the latest news and transfer chat from the second-tier, including Preston North End and a number of their divisional rivals.
