The game took place at North End’s Euxton training ground and saw Robbie Brady play his first game for the club, alongside Ben Woodburn, the pair fresh from signing one-year-deals on Monday.
An 80th minute strike from Jon Nolan decided the game. PNE’s next action will come in a week’s time during their Spain summer camp as they face La Liga side Getafe.
It was the second game in three days for Ryan Lowe’s side after beating Bamber Bridge 3-0 on Saturday.
