Between 1pm and 6pm part of Lowthorpe Road will be shut between Blackpool Road and Bill Shankly Cresent.
The move has been made due to the number of coaches expected for the visit of Rovers for the Lancashire derby.
There is a train strike in operation while the visitors have also sold out their ticket allocation with more than 5,500 fans expected in the away end.
Supporters who use the Invincibles Pavilion car park can still do so via the entrance on Lowthorpe Road. This will need to be accessed from Skeffington Road, St Gregory's Road or St Stephen's Road.
