Preston North End in Numbers: A closer look at Sean Maguire's stop-start time at Deepdale
The latest hamstring injury is a concern for player, club and country with plenty expected of the 24-year-old after an impressive start to life in the Championship.
It is to Maguire’s credit that he has made such an impression on his return to England since his move from Cork in the summer of 2017 given that he has spent long spells on the sidelines.

Four months later Maguire was back and in some style.
He scored two goals off the bench in the 3-1 win at Bolton on Gentry Day and then scored in each of the following three games against Bristol City, Fulham and Sunderland.
His final goal of his debut season came in another 3-1 victory, against Leeds at Deepdale.
In total his maiden campaign at Deepdale ended with 10 goals in 25 games, averaging 166 minutes for every strike.

While Hugill left in January, Maguire’s 1,660 minutes on the pitch due to injuries was some way down the pecking order, Paul Huntington leading the way last term with 4,095.
Fast forward to this season and the popular Irishman was expected to kick on.

If this injury does rule out Maguire for a spell, much of the attention will fall on his club and international colleague Robinson.
The versatile forward, who passed 150 appearances for the club last time out, has been a shining light this season and with nine goals to his name has already surpassed his total for the whole of the 2017-18 campaign.
Eight of those have come in the league meaning he has scored 31 per cent of North End’s goals in the Championship this term.
