Weekend betting: What odds can I get on Preston North End winning at Bristol City?

Betsid’s Joe Whitaker takes a look at the weekend’s best bets.

Preston North End make the trip down the M5 to face a very hit-and-miss Bristol City side.

Fancy a flutter this weekend?

Fancy a flutter this weekend?

When you are lying fourth bottom in the league, every away game is a tough one, though Alex Neil will again see this as a winnable one.

PNE got away with one last week at Ipswich after much drama and he will be praying for a quieter afternoon.

In their quest to stop the goals at the back they look like they’ve lost some potency up front. I can see goals tomorrow though and I fancy North End to get the win with both teams scoring at 5/1!

Elsewhere, a great weekend for sports fans is instore with bragging rights to be settled either side of the Pennines in Sheffield and Manchester, where the blue and red halves do battle in each.

There is also the small matter of England taking on the world’s best New Zealand at Twickenham tomorrow afternoon and ‘The Bomber’ himself Tony Bellew in action!

Where will the punters pens be heading when trying to claim their own little piece of action however?

Starting in the Steel City it’s hard to make a case for Sheffield Wednesday to leave Bramall Lane with a win tonight.

Sheffield United are flying high and the away side have lost their last four matches, conceding twelve goals in the process and whilst these runs don’t go on forever, it is asking a lot for them to turn it around away at their bitter rivals on a Friday night.

The place will be rocking and an early goal for the home side could spell a drubbing.

Derbies don’t always go with the form book however, and can sometimes be a tad disappointing given the extra pressure on not getting beat! The 100/30 available for the draw looks worthwhile backing to me here.

Remembrance Sunday sees a mouth-watering clash at the Etihad with a somewhat resurgent Manchester United heading across town to face neighbours Manchester City.

The old Pep versus Jose battle commences again and the bookies have been quick to write off United’s chances with odds of 7/1 for an away win.

As I said anything can happen in local derbies and Mourinho will go there with his game plan of stopping teams play. I don’t fancy them to win however, though I also don’t think City are any value at 2/5! It’s one thing steamrolling Southampton and Burnley though this will be much tougher and I would be tempted to invest in the 9/2 for a score draw.

In the ring on Saturday night, can Tony Bellew do what he does best and upset the odds? He is as big as 5/1 to win what he is claiming will be his last ever fight.

Yes, he is in against a unified champion in Usyk and clearly up against it though as they say, Tony has a punchers chance and he can certainly punch.

If you want an interest during the fight, the 5/1 on the fight ending in rounds 10-12 either way, could be a decent price, given Tony’s all or nothing style.

Markets as always are covered at www.betsid.com, along with some unbeatable value boosts!

Enjoy the weekend and keep it under control folks! Joe
