Here are the PNE player ratings from the 1-0 defeat at the Madejski Stadium.

Made four or five good saves, ones you would expect him to, but couldnt get strong enough gloves to Miazgas winner which was near him
Didnt exploit the space afforded to him by Readings wing-back system in the first half. Involved in too much niggly stuff.

Prestons starman by some distance in my opinion. Cleared his lines, won balls in the air, played with authority.
Solid enough and was seconds away from having a clean sheet to talk about in a game which lacked quality.
Back in the side after injury and did okay. Made a couple of headed clearances and set-up a couple of chances for Barkhuizen and Browne.
The most effective of the visitors engine room but even he found it a struggle to find a way through a busy midfield. Booked late on.
Not his best game in midfield, too many passes went astray and his set-play delivery wasnt effective. Subbed in the second half.
Didnt particularly get into the game and when he got a sight on goal in the first half, put a shot too close to the keeper.
Not at the levels he has reached in most games this season and he wasnt alone. Tried to make things happen but couldnt produce a spark.
Plenty of effort down the left hand side but couldnt turn that into anything meaningful chance wise.
Should have scored with a header which he put straight at the keeper from close in. Subbed in the second half.
Brought a little more devilment to Prestons play, tried to take people on and was lively
Hit the side-netting with a late shot from a tight angle. Decent shift as a 58th minute sub.
Came on as PNE looked to be a bit more direct. Had a shot which went straight at the keeper.
