Preston North End centre-back Paul Huntington had a word of thanks for departed first-team coach John Dreyer, who was replaced last week by Steve Thompson.
“John was a great guy and a good coach,” Huntington said.
“He’s been at the club the same amount of time as me and I’ve really enjoyed having him here.
“These things happen in football.
“Thommo’s come in and he has great experience at this level of football.
“I am sure we can only learn off his experience and know-how. I am looking forward to building up a good relationship with him.”
