Non-league round-up: Lancaster City fail to hold on to lead but joy for AFC Fylde and Clitheroe’s on-loan Preston North End youngster

Paul Dawson put the Dolly Blues in front at Giant Axe on the stroke of half-time but Albion equalised in the 72nd minute through James Foley.
On Friday Bamber Bridge’s scheduled fixture was postponed due to a Gainsborough Trinity player self-isolating after exposure to the Covid-19 virus.
In the National League, Danny Philliskirk’s first-half goal made all the difference as AFC Fylde made it seven points from three games with a 1-0 victory against Aldershot Town at Mill Farm.
The midfield man steered home the only goal from close range 20 minutes into the match after his initial penalty was saved by Mitch Walker, following a foul on Mark Yeates.
In the NPL North West Division, Preston North End’s on-loan youngster Tyrhys Dolan was among the scorers as Clitheroe won 4-0 at Droylsden.
Terry Cummings put the Blues ahead in the 14th minute and Daniel Wilkins doubled the lead four minutes before half-time.
Dolan made it 3-0 in the 67th minute and Craig Carney got the fourth three minutes from time.
Kendal Town’s scheduled home game against Ossett United was called off after some volunteers displayed flu-like symptoms.
In the North West Counties League Premier Division, Burscough lost 5-0 at Runcorn Town, for whom Craig Cairns scored a hat-trick.
Kieran Holsgrove and Marcus James got the hosts’ other goals.
Longridge Town’s game at Ashton Athletic was called off, but Charnock Richard were in action, winning 4-3 at home to Litherland REMYCA.
Carl Grimshaw put Charnock ahead in the second minute but the visitors were quickly level through Einar White.
Jordan Darr restored the hosts’ lead a minute before the interval but Michael White made it 2-2 in the 54th minute. Three minutes later, Charnock went in front for a third time through Spencer Bibby, only for White to make it 3-3 in the 72nd minute.
But a penalty seven minutes from time from Grimshaw gave Charnock Richard the three points.
In the NWCL First Division North, Garstang’s home clash with Atherton LR was also called off.
