Speculation that Preston North End midfielder Josh Brownhill could be going out on loan soon, has been played down.
It was reported that a number of League One clubs were eyeing up a loan swoop for the 19-year-old who has found first-team football hard to come by this season.
Sources at North End say the only enquiry they have had came last month from Oldham and nothing materialised from that.
The Football League's loan window shuts on November 25.
Brownhill forced his way into the PNE squad two years ago from the youth team, and became a regular starter.
But his involvement in the starting XI has lessened since the second-half of last season.
This term, his two starts came against Crewe and Watford in the Capital One Cup, while he came on as a substitute in September's game at Brentford.
Last week, Brownhill was an unused substitute at Queens Park Rangers.
He was one of the first-team squad players who played 90 minutes in a practice game against Everton on Wednesday afternoon.
