Millwall boss Neil Harris looks ahead to facing 'rejuvenated' Preston North End

The weekend before, the Lions went to Bristol City and brought back a 1-1 draw.

Harris’ men have beaten Aston Villa, Derby, Wigan and Ipswich this season – all at home – but have yet to win on their travels and are just a place and a point outside the Championship relegation zone.

“We can’t wait for the game,” Harris said.

“We were excellent when getting a hard-earned point at Bristol City.

“For long periods last weekend we were excellent against Hull and should have got the three points.

“But that has just made us hungry for more.

“The honest assessment is that we have had to build slowly over a long period of time.

“We have gone back to basics of building again, but the last two performances have been very promising and we take that to Preston.

“It is tough place to go, their team is rejuvenated in the last couple of months.

“But they are a team who we know we can compete against.

“We have to stand up to the physical demands of the game and be the best that we can.”
