Preston North End on the look out for a winger
Preston North End waved goodbye to Darnell Fisher and Ben Pearson yesterday as their focus sharpened on bringing additional attacking quality to Deepdale in the remaining days of the transfer window.
Right-back Fisher joined Middlesbrough and Pearson went to AFC Bournemouth, both on permanent deals.
North End will be reunited with both players fairly soon, Pearson when he comes to Deepdale with the Cherries on March 6, then with Fisher when they make the visit to Teesside on March 15.
Replacing Fisher will be done in-house for now, with skipper Alan Browne having played at right-back for the last two games.

Battle of the Finney’s
Back in 1957, these two sides met and played out a 4-4 draw.
On the day, four goals went alongside the name Finney.
Two went to the Preston legend Tom, and two to Wednesday’s own Finney, Alan.
Could we see another debut?
After four home debuts last time out, we could see another debut this afternoon, but it wouldn’t be his first.
Greg Cunningham will be available this afternoon to make his second PNE - if that’s even a thing - after joining on loan from Cardiff.
Three at the back is also being touted, which could also see the Irishman more easily involved.
